About Atom Farm

Atom Farm is a free chemistry game you play in your browser. Pick two chemicals, put them in a reactor, and see what you make. Hydrogen and oxygen make water. Sodium and chlorine make table salt. Iron oxide and carbon in the furnace make iron, the way people have made it for thousands of years.

What you do

• Combine atoms and compounds to discover 154 real compounds from 57 elements.
• Pick the right equipment: Beaker, Burner, Furnace, Pressure Vessel, Electrolysis Cell or Arc Chamber.
• Earn XP and coins, level up, and fill your collection book.

What you learn

• Which elements react with each other, and what they make
• Why some reactions need heat, pressure or electricity
• What a catalyst does, with real examples like the Haber process and a car's catalytic converter
• Where chemistry shows up in daily life

Reactions are simplified for now: equations aren't balanced yet.
